I suggest having a fiat specific diagnostic check before taking any action. This will confirm what part of the system is faulty. The most likely is the heater plug control unit rather than a glow plug. This component (a sort of power relay) is fixed to the nearside inner engine compartment side panel under the fuse box cover.
